Role Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing boutique bi-costal law firm with headquarters in Los Angeles is now ready to hire at their new Wilmington, DE location! The firm is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support its corporate governance practice as it opens a new office. The Legal assistant will serve as a key liaison with various Secretary of State offices and ensure the timely and accurate formation of legal entities such as LLCs and S-Corps. This position will begin remotely and transition to full-time, in-office work starting August 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate directly with Secretary of State offices for entity formation and maintenance, including written and verbal communication.
Prepare, review, and file legal documentation related to corporate governance and entity formation.
Maintain accurate records of filings and client data across a high-volume portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external legal requirements.
Represent the firm in a professional and client-facing capacity.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable, accredited four-year college or university
7 to 15 years of total legal experience, specifically within a law firm setting.
Prior experience in corporate governance, including work with entity formation and Secretary of State communications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
Highly personable and client-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude.
Ability to commute to the Wilmington, DE office starting August 2025; Candidates must reside within a 30-mile radius of the office and be able to reliably commute full time
