JOB DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO: General Counsel

DEPARTMENT / JOB: Contracts & Legal

JOB SUMMARY: Provides contract administration activities, administrative assistance, and general support to the company’s Contracts and Legal Department. The administrator also ensures that technical, administrative, and control objectives are obtained within the framework of established corporate policy and applicable professional standard.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Assist Corporate and General Counsel with the negotiation and administration of contracts and legal claims as well as proofread and edit contracts, policies, and legal documents.
Review and evaluate comprehensive client, supplier and subcontractor contracts, and apply contact procedures for adherence to company’s requirements and deadlines.
Review, maintain, and monitor client and subcontractor insurance coverages and certificates as well as assist with the annual insurance renewal process.
Establish and maintain corporate, legal, real estate, contract records, files, departmental logs, and reports.
Interface with the executive team, operations management, and other departments on a regular basis regarding contract and subcontract documents as well as serve as the primary liaison between field operations and Contracts & Legal Departments.
Prepare contract summaries
Coordinate travel bookings for Corporate and General Counsel
Assist with contract and legal training events as needed
Analyze and process external legal firm and surety bond invoices for payment
Perform all additional duties as assigned by supervision.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree preferred with a minimum of five years’ experience in a contract or legal support role.
Legal certifications are a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple simultaneous projects, modify schedules, and alter the sequence of steps as necessary to meet required deadlines.
Ability to objectively interpret and analyze data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, plus contact language aptitude required
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
Possess business writing, grammar, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce professional letters, reports, and presentations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Adobe required
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling company information

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily indoors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Manual dexterity, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time
Climbing stairs, occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching
Occasional lifting or exerting of force up to 20 pounds
Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents
