Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to provide expert legal counsel and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the healthcare, technology, and telemedicine domains. As a Legal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s legal interests, managing risks, and supporting the development of patents, contracts, and policies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Legal Counsel: Provide strategic legal advice on business operations, compliance, and risk management. Review and draft legal agreements, including NDAs, employment contracts, service agreements, and vendor agreements. 2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, telemedicine laws, data protection laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and corporate laws in the US and India. Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their potential impact. 3. Patent Support: Assist in drafting detailed patent descriptions for the AI Telemedicine Platform, AI Doctor (Avatar), and AI Telemedicine Booth. Liaise with patent attorneys to ensure accurate and timely filing of patents. 4. Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate structuring, equity distribution, and shareholder agreements. Support the management team in fundraising efforts and related legal documentation. 5. Dispute Resolution: Handle disputes and negotiate settlements to minimize risks and costs. Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary. 6. Policy Development: Draft and implement internal policies related to ethics, compliance, data privacy, and employment. Review terms of service, privacy policies, and disclaimers for the company’s platforms. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); a Master’s degree (LLM) is preferred. Licensed to practice law in India or the US. 5+ years of experience in corporate law, healthcare law, or technology law. Knowledge of telemedicine regulations, intellectual property, and data protection laws is a strong advantage. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. Preferred Skills: Experience working with startups or in the healthcare/technology sector. Familiarity with international legal frameworks and cross-border operations. Proficiency in drafting patent descriptions and working with patent attorneys. Why Join TruVita Wellness Inc.?
