YOUR ROLE:
As a Legal Assistant in Business Law, you will provide support in a variety of mandates.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Prepare and assemble documentation required for transaction closings;
Prepare and review various large and complex legal documents;
Draft, edit and follow up on correspondence;
Follow-up with various internal and external stakeholders;
Conduct searches in the Quebec Enterprise Register, Corporations Canada, Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, SOQUIJ, Quebec Land Registry and other sources;
Coordinate logistics for meetings and travel;
Manage agendas, receive, filter, reply to and forward e-mails, calls, etc.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Legal secretarial training;
Relevant law firm or corporate experience (an asset);
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
Ability to work as part of a team and cultivate good interpersonal relations;
Professionalism, discretion and sense of responsibility;
Discretion, resourcefulness and autonomy.
