Providing proactive legal assistance and advice on various legal issues such as commercial contracts, dispute resolution, government funding agreements, regulatory and governance.

Supervise the tenancy administration process for mall and office tower include negotiation of tenancy terms with tenants.

Assist the business in compliance with all various legal requirements.

Advise on minimal liability and legal exposure for the business.

Ensure that the legal documents, correspondences, contracts and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted and vetted.

Coordinate the preparation and submission of the Prospectus and Renewal Prospectus under Interest Scheme for registration with SSM and anything relating thereto.

Assist in administrative and secretarial work within LED.

Assist superior in providing advice and counsel on a variety of legal matters and problems involving the Group.

Work with various Heads of Departments, Branches and Site Offices on developing and modifying practices and procedures to conform to legal requirements.

Create and amend standard form agreements to ensure consistency with applicable laws and internal policies.

Take decisive actions on various legal matters and assess contentious and uncontroversial issues.

Manage external and internal legal resources where required.

Established and maintain the contractual compliance processes and procedures, identifying on compliance issues and supporting the resolutions.

Ensure all legal documents are correctly maintained and updated.

Evaluate, build and maintain a network of law firms for specific assignments and issues.

Assess and advise effectively to minimize and control risks to the Group, ensuring that the system, controls and processes are appropriate and relevant.

Represent the Group in ensuring the efficient handling and winning resolution of all negotiations and disputes.

Advise and ensure the business comply with the legislation and regulatory requirements involving data protection.

Research and analyze implication of case laws, legislation and regulatory matters that may affect the Group and reporting back to the management.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Law and admitted to the Malaysian Bar with minimum 5-6 years post qualification working experience.

Proven knowledge and experience in commercial law (especially properties, companies, business) and good understanding and working knowledge of corporate law.

A self-starter with innate drive for achievement and ability to work independently / thrives under pressure.

To attend to all legal issues, provide legal advice and support to the Group, department and subsidiary company in all legal matters.

Conducting legal research and to keep abreast of laws.

Must possess a good command of written and spoken English.
