We are seeking a licensed West Virginia attorney to join an existing attorney who specializes in real estate transactions, business law, contract law, title work, and legal disputes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their expertise and work on high-impact cases while being part of a dynamic, growth-oriented legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle real estate law matters, including title searches, closings, and property disputes
Draft and review contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents
Research business law, contract law, and real estate regulations to support cases and transactions
Assist with legal disputes, contract negotiations, and litigation strategy
Conduct due diligence for business acquisitions and real estate transactions
Work closely with entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners on legal matters
Stay current on West Virginia laws, as well as multi-state legal issues
Qualifications:
Licensed Attorney in West Virginia (required)
Bonus: Also licensed in Ohio or other states (preferred but not required)
Strong research and analytical skills – Ability to find, interpret, and apply laws to cases
Detail-oriented – You spot things others miss and draft precise, well-structured contracts
Real estate experience preferred – Title searches, closings, or property law knowledge
Self-motivated and proactive – You take initiative and can work independently when needed
Strong negotiation skills – Ability to resolve disputes and advocate for clients effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication – You can clearly explain legal concepts to clients
Tech-savvy – Comfortable with legal research tools, digital documents, and case management systems
