Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish; skilled in translating documents and interpreting conversations.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills, especially around sensitive topics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); ability to learn new software systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and research ability.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Discretion and ability to handle confidential matters.
Responsibilities
Serve as main contact for Spanish-speaking pro bono clients.
Interpret meetings between attorneys and clients (phone, video, in-person).
Translate documents and correspondence between Spanish and English.
Track pro bono immigration cases and generate internal reports.
Support preparation and filing of legal documents and case materials.
Assist with case-related research using tools like Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and PACER.
Coordinate meetings and assist with scheduling and follow-ups.
Maintain organized and accurate electronic and paper case files.
