Your Opportunity:
As our Attorney leading the new Legal Recovery Department, you’ll have the unique opportunity to establish and direct all aspects of our debt recovery efforts. You’ll be mentored directly by our CEO/Owner, a patient and supportive leader committed to your success. This role offers significant autonomy, job security, and the chance to make a lasting impact on our company and the community we serve. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Case Management:
Review charged-off accounts to determine the costs vs. potential benefits of pursuing each situation.
Develop and implement effective recovery strategies.
Communicate strategic advice to leadership for collaboration.
Client Resolution:
Meet with clients to negotiate settlements and resolve outstanding balances.
Explain the consequences of financial decisions to help clients in the long run.
Legal Representation:
Prepare and file legal documents, including motions and briefs.
Represent the company in court, including occasional travel for appearances.
Oversee process service.
Use writs of execution to garnish wages, etc.
Department Leadership:
Build and lead a team of legal professionals, including assistants and paralegals.
Delegate tasks and provide guidance.
Manage case files.
Additional Duties:
Perform administrative tasks and other legal duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active Montana Bar License.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A desire to understand and work within the company’s unique business model.
