Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Entry-Level Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed attorney looking to build a career in bankruptcy law. While previous experience in consumer bankruptcy is a plus, it is not required. We offer training and mentorship to help the right candidate grow and succeed in this practice area.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct consultations with clients facing financial distress
Review and analyze financial documents to determine bankruptcy eligibility and options
Prepare and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions
Appear at 341 meetings and bankruptcy court hearings
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure compliance and satisfaction
Work collaboratively with legal staff to manage case flow efficiently
Stay up to date with developments in bankruptcy law and court procedures
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active Virginia Bar license (required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
A client-centered approach and professional demeanor
Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced legal environment
