About the role:
A prestigious immigration law firm is looking for an organized and experienced Legal Assistant Coordinator to lead and support their team of remote legal assistants. You will keep the team running smoothly, make sure deadlines are met, and ensure the quality of legal support stays consistently high. This is a great fit for someone with a solid legal background who enjoys leadership and improving how a team works.
What you'll do:
- Supervise and manage a team of remote legal assistants, offering guidance, feedback, and support
- Oversee daily task distribution, workload, and deadline tracking across the team
- Make sure all legal documents, filings, and correspondence are accurate and on time
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures for the team
- Onboard and train new legal assistants on firm processes, tools, and expectations
- Track team performance and report key metrics to attorneys and leadership
- Act as the main point of contact between the legal assistant team and the attorneys
- Coordinate with clients and third parties as needed to move cases forward
- Keep case management systems accurate and up to date
What we're looking for:
- 2 to 4 years as a legal assistant or paralegal, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordinator role
- Familiarity with case management tools such as Docketwise, INSZoom, or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a remote team
- Experience in immigration law or a related field is a strong plus
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Highly organized, comfortable juggling multiple priorities at once
