Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant (Compliance) role based in Kingston. Responsibilities include assisting the legal team with drafting and preparing legal documents, maintaining accurate records, conducting compliance/risk reviews, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, managing administrative tasks, and providing general support to attorneys. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s compliance initiatives and managing the needs of corporate secrerial clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Legal Document electronic preparation
  • Exceptional Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong Administrative Assistance skills, including organization and time management
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Willingness to obtain certification in compliance and/or AML/CFT

  • Relevant certification in Legal Studies, Paralegal, or related field
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements under the Companies Act is a plus
