The Arbitration Specialist will handle disputes and issues arising from auctioned vehicle transactions, including assessing claims, reviewing documentation, and making impartial decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of auction processes, vehicle valuation, and arbitration procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve disputes between buyers and sellers concerning auctioned vehicles. Review claims, analyze evidence, and make fair and unbiased decisions. Documentation Review: Examine auction records, vehicle condition reports, and other relevant documentation to assess the validity of disputes and determine appropriate resolutions.
Communication: Engage with buyers, sellers, and auction staff to gather information, provide updates, and explain arbitration decisions. Ensure clear and professional communication throughout the arbitration process.
Decision-Making: Make informed decisions based on evidence and industry standards. Prepare written reports detailing findings, decisions, and the rationale behind each resolution. Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the arbitration process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and industry practices.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the arbitration process. Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency, fairness, and accuracy in dispute resolution. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to auction staff regarding arbitration procedures and best practices. Assist in training new employees on arbitration-related matters.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of arbitration cases, decisions, and supporting documentation. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Education: Background in or work experience in Legal Studies, Automotive Technology, or a related field. Certification in arbitration or dispute resolution is highly desirable.
Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the vehicle auction industry or a related field. Experience in arbitration or dispute resolution is essential.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of auction processes and vehicle valuation methods. Ability to maintain impartiality and fairness in decision-making. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for case management and documentation.
Attributes: High level of integrity and professionalism. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Capable of handling complex and sensitive issues with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
