Robert Half is partnering with a national law firm in the Greater Seattle Area to identify a Legal Assistant who is ready to IMMEDIATELY jump in to assist their team. This position is contract with potential for extension/conversion into a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and submit legal filings in federal court while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Support attorneys by drafting and refining legal documents such as motions, briefs, and related case materials.
- Compile and update tables of contents and tables of authorities for court submissions and other formal documents.
- Manage attorney calendars by tracking hearings, filing dates, case deadlines, and other critical litigation milestones.
- Review documents carefully for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency before final submission.
- Finalize legal materials using document management and production tools, including NetDocs, for organized file handling.
- 2+ YOE experience with electronic filing, particularly within federal court systems.
- Background supporting civil litigation matters in a law firm or legal department environment.
The salary range for this position is $28-33/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
