Jefferson County District Court is seeking an energetic & motivated individual to fulfill the duties of a Judicial Support Specialist I or II. The ideal candidate for this role enjoys interacting with the public on a daily basis, is detail and task orientated and has great time management skills. This position will learn all functions and duties of the District Court outlined in the job description, as well as providing support to the Jury Coordinator Position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Judicial Support Specialist I: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), minimum two (2 years) related experience in a public or private legal setting, or a combination of education and other work experience. Experience in a court setting or post-secondary degree is desirable.
Judicial Support Specialist II: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four ( 4) years’ experience in a public or private legal setting in the State of Washington with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a court setting or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Judicial Support Specialist I in Jefferson County District Court or as a Court Clerk I in Jefferson County Superior Court; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must pass a background check. Must sign confidentiality agreement upon acceptance of employment.
Compensation: Full time, 40 hours a week, Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus 11 paid holidays, PTO, and bereavement leave.
Judicial Support Specialist I: UFCW Grade 23 position. Starting pay typically $23.85/hour, DEQ. Full salary range is $23.85 to $28.48. This position is also a part of a career ladder for advancement in District Court.
Judicial Support Specialist II: UFCW Grade 25 position. Starting pay typically $25.70/hour, DEQ. Full salary range is $25.70 to $30.68.
