Based in Leeds

Medlock Partners are partnering with a leading law firm based in Leeds City Centre who are looking to hire a leal assistant to join their busy and fast paced commercial property team. The successful person will have previous experience working within commercial property with the ability the communicate all levels and have a good understanding of SDLT calculations.

Key responsibilities of the Legal Assistant – Commercial Property

Supporting the commercial property team with general administration

Opening and closing of case files

Handling client enquiries via telephone, email and post

Liaising with clients updating them of sale progression and costs

Ensure SDLT obligations and land registry requirements are adhered to

Conduct regular desk reviews of live matters, WIP client balances, highlighting any issues

Develop and maintain internal and external relationships

Work in accordance with SRA regulations

Key requirements for the Legal Assistant – Commercial Property

Must have previous legal assistant experience within commercial property

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to work to strict deadlines and being able to adapt to change

Strong systems skills and knowledge including MS Office, specifically Excel.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels within the companies.

A soldi understanding of SDLT calculations and land registry requirements

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills
