Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team and support our operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and loan documentation. This role requires a detail-oriented legal professional with a deep understanding of real estate law and the ability to navigate complex financing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate real estate loan agreements, purchase agreements, leases, and other contracts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local real estate and lending regulations.
Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including title reviews, zoning compliance, and risk assessments.
Oversee loan closings and coordinate with lenders, title companies, and third-party service providers.
Advise on mortgage lending laws, lien enforcement, and foreclosure procedures.
Provide legal guidance on investment structures, joint ventures, and securitization of real estate assets.
Stay updated on changes in real estate and financial regulations that may impact the company’s operations.
Qualifications
Must be admitted to practice law in New York State
Must be admitted to NYS Bar (Required)
Knowledge of Real Estate Development practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in real estate finance is a plus
