Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team in San Francisco!
Essential Responsibilities
Draft, revise, and finalize a wide range of real estate legal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, closing materials, title affidavits, and general correspondence.
Support the preparation of transactional documents, such as property transfer forms, escrow instructions, loan packages, and lease modifications.
Ensure all documentation adheres to firm standards and complies with legal formatting and procedural requirements.
Assemble closing binders and maintain detailed transaction checklists to ensure timely and complete deliverables.
Manage attorney calendars by scheduling meetings, deadlines, and client-related appointments.
Monitor and track critical dates, filing deadlines, and required follow-ups for active real estate matters.
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties to coordinate meetings, conference calls, and closing logistics.
Oversee administrative tasks related to real estate transactions, including maintaining organized client files, compiling due diligence materials, and submitting documents for recording.
Arrange travel, prepare meeting logistics, and provide additional administrative support as needed.
Uphold strict confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when handling sensitive client and firm information.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transactional law, preferably supporting multiple attorneys in a mid-size or large law firm setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with legal document management platforms, such as iManage.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and best practices.
