Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant role based in Ampang. The Legal Assistant will support lawyers in daily case management, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents, correspondence, and basic pleadings. The role involves maintaining case files, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings and court dates. The Legal Assistant will conduct basic legal and factual research, assist with due diligence and document review, and help prepare bundles and materials for hearings and client meetings. The position also includes handling general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, phone and email communication, and liaising with clients, courts, and external parties in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in law and an understanding of legal processes relevant to litigation, conveyancing, and commercial matters.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, proofreading, and organizing agreements, letters, and court documents.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with lawyers, clients, courts, and external stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
- Experience in administrative assistance, including calendar management, filing, document management, and office coordination.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar legal support role is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and legal document management systems.
- Diploma or degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
