We are expanding our network of elite Medical Clerks who are experienced in managing the medical documentation that forms the backbone of personal injury litigation. If you thrive on accuracy, timelines, and medical record management — this role is for you.
Role Overview
As a Medical Clerk, you will play a crucial support role in the litigation process by handling medical records, organizing critical data, and assisting attorneys and paralegals with case development. This position requires a deep understanding of personal injury workflows, familiarity with LOP providers, and the ability to manage confidential medical information with discretion and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Record Requests – Contact and coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain all relevant medical records for active cases
Organization & Tracking – Organize, categorize, and label medical documentation in case files
Record Review – Verify that records are complete, legible, and consistent with case requirements
Medical Bill Tracking – Monitor client treatment plans, bills, and outstanding balances; update attorneys on medical status
Locate LOP Providers – Identify and coordinate with LOP (Letter of Protection) medical providers for client treatment
Affidavit Filing – Prepare and file affidavits in compliance with Chapter 18 of the Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code
Administrative Support – Assist with general clerical duties related to medical case management and litigation support
Qualification
10+ years of experience as a Medical Clerk or similar role in Texas personal injury law
Proven experience handling medical records in a legal or clinical setting
Knowledge of Chapter 18 affidavits and relevant court filing procedures
Familiarity with LOP providers and Texas medical billing practices
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Tech-savvy with experience using legal or medical document management platforms
Independent, reliable, and deadline-driven
