At Coastal Probate, Trust & Elder Law, we provide compassionate legal guidance to families navigating estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law matters. As our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive, client-focused professional to join our team.

About The Role

We’re hiring for an in-person Legal Assistant position—open to either full-time or part-time applicants, depending on what works best for your schedule. For the right candidate, there may also be some hybrid work flexibility.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage client intake, case coordination, and legal administrative tasks with minimal training. The right person is a strong communicator who can deliver a warm and professional client experience while keeping every case organized and on track from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct client intake, collect essential information, and help ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience as clients transition from prospective to active

Review and manage client files throughout the case to ensure documents and information are complete and organized

Serve as a point of contact for clients—providing updates, answering non-legal questions, and coordinating communication with the legal team

Track client progress to keep key milestones and deadlines on schedule

Proactively identify and resolve delays or issues to ensure a seamless client experience

Collaborate with attorneys and team members to maintain high service standards

Assist with drafting, filing, and legal administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience as a legal assistant (probate law preferred)

Client-centered communicator with a warm, professional demeanor

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team

Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (Clio preferred)
