About the role

What you will be doing

We are looking for a legal assistant to join our Civil Liberties Team in our Hull Office.

In this role, every day will be a unique and exciting challenge that will include:

Set the tone of the initial client journey in accordance with our company values through your upbeat, but empathetic, handling of initial client queries.

Always maintain our call and email handling service level agreement standards in terms of speed and quality of response.

Communicate with the client via email, telephone and live chat to establish key information to enable a detailed note of instruction to be prepared in readiness for assessment by a senior colleague.

Following assessment, notify the client of our decision and deal with any follow up correspondence

Record new enquiries and open files on the case management system.

Monitor own task list daily to ensure all deadlines are met and monitor the task lists and emails of other team members when on leave.

Assist with the preparation of electronic Court bundles.

Support fee earners generally in the running of the cases.

What you will need

In the role you will need:

Previous experience in a supporting role within the professional industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to deliver excellent client care and possess empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances.

Be IT literate, including knowledge of using case management software or similar.

It is desired that you have:

Experience within the legal profession.

Be keen to learn, interested in driving your own career progression and be proactive in taking ownership of this.
