About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced full-time Legal Assistant primarily supporting a our Private Client Group who have a heavy practice in complex and contentious estate administration and estate litigation. The team is well organised, with established processes, procedures and checklists to ensure the high-quality of all work undertaken.
Responsibilities will include all usual legal assistant duties including:
- opening / closing files
- dictation of court documents and correspondence
- compiling mail
- management of calendars
- safe custody
- file management
- monthly billing
- assistance with precedent management
- drafting documents such as Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, applications for probate, court documentation (applications, affidavits and the like) and Titles Office forms
- compilation of briefs and court documents (including affidavits with substantive exhibits)
- able to prioritise workflow
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Essential Skills
- at least two years’ experience as a Legal Assistant/Secretary
- an accurate typing speed of at least 65wpm
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to prioritise a large workload with attention to detail
- willingness to learn and ability to demonstrate initiative

- Actionstep, iManage Work and Lawdocs
