The Farias Firm, PC a boutique law firm dedicated to advocating for injured workers throughout California. We pride ourselves on delivering personalized, results-driven representation in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing practice and handle a caseload of workers’ compensation matters from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of applicant-side workers’ compensation cases
Conduct client intake meetings and strategy sessions
Appear at WCAB hearings including MSCs, status conferences, and trials
Draft pleadings, settlement documents, and trial briefs
Take and defend depositions of injured workers, employers, and medical professionals
Evaluate medical records, QME/AME reports, and develop treatment and settlement strategies
Negotiate settlements with defense counsel and insurance adjusters
Collaborate with case managers and support staff to ensure effective case handling
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and next steps

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
1–3 years of workers’ compensation experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with civil litigation background)
Strong knowledge of California workers’ compensation laws and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable handling hearings and depositions
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage deadlines independently
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
