We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide essential support in managing case files, coordinating schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and organize legal documents related to personal injury, workers’ compensation, premises liability, Jones Act, and medical malpractice cases.
• Perform e-filing tasks across various systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Transcribe dictations to produce high-quality legal documentation.
• Notarize legal documents as required to support case preparation.
• Handle civil litigation case management, including scheduling and calendar coordination.
• Maintain meticulous records of court filings and deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and other team members to streamline case workflows.
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and filing standards.
• Assist in preparing materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Perform additional administrative duties as needed to facilitate legal operations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in civil litigation.
• Proficiency in e-filing systems and familiarity with relevant platforms.
• Strong organizational skills, including calendar management and deadline tracking.
• Notary certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with dictation and transcription tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Knowledge of court filing procedures and requirements.
