Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Legal Assistant with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join our team remotely. This role provides the flexibility to work from anywhere while supporting a fast-paced legal environment. Education and Experience
An associate degree in legal studies or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered. Experience in Worker’s Compensation is advantageous, though we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
As a Legal Assistant, you will support attorneys and ensure seamless communication and organization within our legal team. Your responsibilities will include:
Answering client phone calls, taking messages, and serving as a liaison between attorneys and clients.
Managing attorney calendars and scheduling court dates, hearings, and depositions.
Inputting attorney time entries for billing statements.
Drafting and managing legal correspondence regarding client progress.
Providing client status updates, generating reports, and handling reconciliations.
Reviewing and drafting routine legal documents and managing e-filing processes.
Responding promptly and accurately to calls and inquiries.
Requirements
