Legal AR and Collections Specialist (Hybrid Opportunity)

Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, apply, and record client payments accurately and on time.
  • Maintain legal AR records, review aging reports, and follow established collection protocols.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account variances in coordination with attorneys and internal teams.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding account balances and billing inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Partner internally to improve billing, collections, and documentation processes.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation and correspondence files.
  • Balance multiple priorities while consistently meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications &

Experience:

  • Prior experience in Legal Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Collections.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and legal billing/timekeeping systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high‑touch client‑service mindset.
  • Highly organized, detail‑driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Degree preferred but not required.
