Job Responsibilities:
- As a legal and compliance lead, on each assigned project case, assist to set up, amend, and terminate products, including but not limited to SFC-authorized funds, Luxembourg based UCITS, Cayman Islands funds, and discretionary accounts;
- Manage and maintain products regulatory status by performing on-going regulatory reporting, compliance disclosure, offering documents update, where necessary;
- Research registration requirements of different jurisdictions and lead the registration and its on-going disclosure and reporting tasks;
- Review various types of legal, compliance and internal control documents;
- Provide advices to business development department, product department from legal, regulatory and compliance point of views;
- Liaise with regulators, external lawyers, tax auditors, counterparties of products, where applicable;
- Handle other legal / product compliance matters or assist projects as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably with law or accounting degree
- Around 3 – 5 years relevant experience in financial institution
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Good team player while being able to work independently
- Result and details-oriented
- Be familiar with SFC UT Code or UCITS Directive is an advantage
- Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Mandarin fluency is a plus.
