We are currently seeking a “Legal and Corporate Risk Management Manager” to join our team at our Istanbul center office, bringing positive energy and contributing to our strength.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
- Master's degree in Law is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in international law firms serving multinational clients and/or multinational companies, preferably with team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Law, Law of Obligations, Corporate Law, Consumer Law, and Contract Law.
- Hands-on experience in Personal Data Protection (KVKK/GDPR), Compliance, Information Security, Competition Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), ISO Management Systems, Environmental Law, and Export Control processes is preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical thinking, legal risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and team leadership capabilities.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the Legal and Corporate Risk teams and assume overall responsibility for Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Security (ISM), Personal Data Protection (KVKK), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), ISO 9001 Management System processes, while coordinating Intellectual and Industrial Property, Environmental Law, and Export Control activities.
- Provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice to business units in support of the company's commercial operations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, assess legal risks, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, particularly complex sales and procurement contracts.
- Identify, assess, and manage legal and compliance risks arising from the company's operations and ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
- Monitor applicable local and international legislation and ensure the company's policies, procedures, and business practices remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, update, and support the implementation of company policies and procedures in line with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage litigation, disputes, enforcement proceedings, and other legal matters, particularly in the areas of Consumer Law and Commercial Law, by coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Monitor legislative developments and industry trends, communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders, and ensure necessary actions are taken.
- Design and deliver internal training programs on legal and compliance-related topics.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and provide strategic legal guidance to support business decision-making.
