Beacon Hill Legal’s client, a boutique real estate investment firm located in Midtown, Manhattan, is seeking a Jr. Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal for a 4-month contract coverage, with the potential for extension. The candidate hired must commute to their office in Midtown, Manhattan 4x a week and have 1+ year of experience in a legal administrative role, or a similar capacity.

Our client is open to candidates at varying levels of experience and will be providing training with the following responsibilities with a preference for exposure to a legal/compliance environment with a real estate or finance company.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Administrative Analysis and Support (Training Provided):

Assist General Counsel with research and implementation of new legal and compliance requirements

Coordinate legal entity management including formations, dissolutions, LEI and state filings, and BOI reporting

Maintain accurate records for legal entities (officer listings, org charts, resolutions, etc.)

Support teams in document management for real estate transactions and asset oversight

Analyze and summarize agreements and other legal documentation

Assist with information gathering and reporting to both internal and external parties

Support quarterly legal and compliance reporting processes

Regulatory Compliance Support (Training Provided):

Administer elements of the compliance program related to fundraising and investment management

Track certificated securities for custody and review select marketing materials

Recordkeeping (Training Provided):

Maintain trackers, charts, and records related to legal and fund obligations

Prepare and archive minutes and memos documenting key activities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

1+ year of experience in a legal administrative, junior paralegal, or comparable support role

High attention to detail and discretion with confidential materials

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
