Title: Legal Affairs Counsel

Location: Sofia, Sofia City, Bulgaria
- Provide end-to-end legal support across commercial activities, including sales, procurement, contracting, competition law, data protection, IP, and sponsorships
- Ensure legal compliance of commercial activities and brand communications (labels, promotions, digital activations) in line with applicable laws and internal policies
- Own and drive the Corporate Compliance Program, including implementation of controls, monitoring, and continuous improvement of compliance processes
- Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring full compliance with GDPR and internal data protection policies
- Manage data protection governance, including internal audits, DPIAs, handling of data subject requests and complaints, and liaison with regulatory authorities (CPDP)
- Provide legal support for NIS2 Directive and Cybersecurity Act compliance, including regulatory analysis, incident notification, and third-party risk assessment
- Lead and manage complex legal matters, including contract negotiations, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property cases
- Manage the full contract lifecycle (drafting, reviewing, negotiating, advising) ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk mitigation
- Oversee real estate legal matters, including transactions, documentation, and management of property
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments, translating them into business impact and required actions
- Lead legal aspects of corporate governance, including Board and Shareholder resolutions, regulatory filings, and maintenance of statutory registers
- Coordinate and manage litigation and dispute management, including external counsel engagement and case strategy alignment
- Support and lead strategic legal projects and cross-functional initiatives across the organization
- Prepare and manage powers of attorney (PoAs), shareholder documentation, and corporate
- Drive continuous improvement of legal and compliance processes to enhance efficiency and control environment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong legal background with experience in commercial/corporate law
- Legal experience is required (min 5 years)
- Proficient English language is a must
- Solid understanding of compliance, data protection (GDPR), and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple topics and work cross-functionally
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
