Job Purpose:

organizational support to the legal department. This role ensures that all legal documents and records are meticulously maintained, and that legal processes are conducted efficiently and in compliance with legal standards. The Legal Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the legal team by managing documentation, conducting legal research, and facilitating communication both within the organization and with external legal professionals.

Key Accountabilities:

Operational

Manage electronic & physical legal files and documentation systems

Utilize legal software tools for document management, contract review, and research

Implement and maintain digital platforms for contracts management

Process automation for the department processes including contracts management, digital signatures to support digitalization SOPs

Support the adoption of AI-based research solutions for improved efficiency, Assist general administrative support with day-to-day tasks.

Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for legal department meetings.

Handle correspondence, including drafting and reviewing letters, memos, and other legal documents.

Review, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, agreements considering the company standard terms.

Handle the process of document creation, review, and approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

Conduct research on various corporate matters

Summarize findings and provide reports to support legal strategies and decisions.

assist in ensuring that the company’s practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies and other external entities as needed.

liaise with external legal professionals, including law firms and consultants and manage their renewals and invoicing.

Coordinate with other departments to gather information and documentation required for legal matters.

Facilitate communication between the legal department and other internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Proven experience in research, automation and compliance with contracts and agreements

Minimum Experience:

Previous experience in an administrative role in legal departments is preferred, typically 3-5 years+.
