SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading retirement fund, is looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to provide sound legal counsel across our clients operations from contract management and litigation oversight to regulatory compliance and Trustee support. You’ll be a key advisor to management and the Board, and you’ll mentor a Junior Legal Advisor as part of the team.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities : Provide legal advice on Fund matters, ensuring compliance with the Pension Funds Act, FSCA requirements, and the Fund’s rules Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, resolving disputes in the Fund’s interest Manage litigation processes and instruct external attorneys, representing the Fund at statutory or administrative proceedings Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, advising the Board and management on compliance risk Maintain legal records, contract and attorney databases, and the Fund’s rule-book Coach and oversee the Junior Legal Advisor Contribute to Fund committees, projects, and the annual audit process Mandatory Experience & Skills LLB, BCom Law, or equivalent Admitted Attorney 8+ years post-admission experience, ideally in financial services / retirement funds Solid working knowledge of the Pension Funds Act, FSRA, and FSCA regulatory landscape Experience with PE deal structures, due diligence, and commercial contract negotiation Strong track record in dispute resolution and litigation management Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Should you meet the above requirements, please upload your CV to our website [CVS VIA EMAIL WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED] All suitably qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
