Our client, a leading company in the financial services and technology sector, is looking for a Legal Advisor with expertise in contracts to support their business operations and strategic growth. This role works closely with the Group CEO, providing legal guidance on contract management, compliance, and risk mitigation. It’s an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level legal professional to gain hands-on experience and contribute to key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with financial institutions, vendors, and partners.
Ensure contracts align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk policies.
Identify contractual risks and support mitigation strategies.
Maintain a contract management framework for tracking obligations and streamlining processes.
Provide legal insights on key contracts and strategic agreements.
Support compliance across multiple jurisdictions, particularly in financial services and fintech.
Conduct legal research on regulatory changes impacting contracts and business operations.
Assist in managing external legal counsel and regulatory interactions.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Compliance teams on contract-related matters.
Help develop training materials and best practices for contract management.
Requirements
Law degree (LLB); LLM or additional legal qualifications are a plus.
5 years of legal experience, preferably in contracts, commercial law, or financial services.
Strong background in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment.
Knowledge of financial services, fintech, or regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) to handle bilingual contracts and communications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with senior stakeholders.
Experience with legal tech or contract management tools is a plus.
