Title: Legal Advisor

The Advisor is responsible to proactively engage the different groups under the Financial Markets Segment (FMS) and the Institutional Banking Group (IBG) in providing them with high quality and timely service relating to regulatory and compliance.
Daily role involves a mixture of taking primary responsibility for certain matters and working together with the management team of FMS, IBG and other stakeholders. The role requires a blend of technical legal skills/knowledge, an understanding of business requirements, regulatory and compliance environment and sound commercial awareness. In addition, the role is cross-functional and requires working closely with other groups. The remit of the jobholder's role is summarized below (may develop overtime):
- Provision of legal advice, including the drafting, revision, review of documentation (eg. customer forms, agreements, product proposals, presentations) relating to derivatives, documentation relating to loan syndication, crediting structuring, collateral management and other products and services of the Group
- Risk Management
- Report Management
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Management or equivalent
- Must be qualified lawyer; carries a valid professional license
- At least 3 years in law practice/ working experience in Corporate Law
- Exposure to legal research, legal writing, handling and analyzing documents/forms
