Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Administrator to manage and supervise a team of 20 employees, including paralegals and accounting staff. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in legal administration and accounting to ensure smooth operations, maintain compliance, and manage financial processes effectively.

Essential Duties:

Supervision & Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 20 employees, including paralegals and accounting staff. Promote a positive and productive work environment.

Team Development: Provide training, feedback, and professional growth opportunities for staff to enhance skills and performance.

Accounting & Financial Oversight: Manage billing, invoicing, payroll, budget tracking, and financial record keeping. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and the accuracy of financial records.

Legal Administration: Oversee case management, legal document filing, and workflow processes, ensuring compliance with firm protocols.

Client & Vendor Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and vendors regarding financial inquiries, billing matters, and administrative concerns.

Policy & Procedure Development: Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for legal and accounting functions to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accurate expense tracking.

Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze financial, case, and performance reports to inform decision-making and process improvements.

Requirements/Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Legal-related certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal or accounting environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Accounting Expertise: Proven experience with accounting practices, financial management, billing, and budget oversight within a legal or corporate environment.

Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal terminology, document management, and office procedures. Previous experience in a law firm or legal department is preferred.

Skills:

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and legal case management systems (Clio, LawBase, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods.

Ability to use a computer and office equipment for the majority of the workday.
