Objective And Position Summary
The Legal Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Legal Department attorneys and staff through assistance with contracts, matters related to court-ordered treatment, litigation support, and more. The Legal Administrative Coordinator will ensure an exceptional level of client service is provided at all times and will work with minimum supervision in performing the day-to-day work responsibilities. The Legal Administrative Coordinator will partner with their peers (the other Legal Department attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff) in providing legal services to our internal clients – the employees at Chicanos Por La Causa who empower lives through five pillars of service: Integrated Health & Human Service, Education & Social Services, Economic Development, Housing and Advocacy. The Legal Administrative Coordinator will maintain general responsibilities in assisting with contract creation and execution; maintenance of Legal Department systems and files; oversight and case management of court-ordered treatment; and support to the Legal Department attorneys and staff in all areas as needs arise.
Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
Education /Background:
Three to six (3-6) years of relevant experience working in a legal office environment
Associate’s degree required
Experience with court-ordered treatment and non-profit and/or government contracts preferred
Experience managing a high volume of work and complying with deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication
Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to offer dissenting points of view in consistently constructive and positive ways
Ability to generate respect and trust while fostering cross-functional collaboration and a strong sense of teamwork

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor
Ability to identify critical issues and brainstorm resolutions, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and a willingness to handle all levels of work assigned
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset
A wide degree of creativity, latitude, and knowledge to meet the challenges faced by this position
