Job description

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation up to and including Trial, drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, preparing discovery requests and responses and subpoenaing records
Manage document management systems and organize case files
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Maintain calendars and deadlines for case-related activities
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts in a professional manner
Prepare Summaries of Discovery Responses and Medical Records
Assist attorney with retention of experts

Experience:

Previous experience as a litigation paralegal or in a related legal field preferred
Proficient in using document management systems and legal research databases
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to work as a team to accomplish tasks as needed
Familiarity with California Court filing procedures and legal terminology

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
