Miller Johnson, one of Michigan’s largest full service law firms, is seeking an experienced full-time Med Recovery Legal Administrative Assistant for our downtown Grand Rapids office.
Responsibilities
Coordinating administrative and legal practice task and projects for our Med Recovery attorneys (i.e. calendaring meetings, depositions, conference calls, and other appointments; new client intake; opening new client matters; billing activities, and client interaction).
Preparing, editing, proofreading, and assembling legal documents and correspondence, which may require use of digital dictation/transcription.
Preparing and filing court documents including electronically, through Electronic Case Files (ECF).
Inputting new complaints into our Med Recovery data base
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of litigation experience
Healthcare and/or no fault experience preferred
Knowledge of court and agency processes and procedures
Proficiency in MS Office (outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including the ability to generate TOCs/TOAs and utilization of the Styles function
Excellent grammar and communication skills
Organized and detail-orientated
Exceptional client service, discretion and judgment to ensure client confidentially
