Litigation Manager

We’re looking for a Litigation Manager to take charge of our Consumer Litigation team—a key role responsible for overseeing all stages of litigation related to deficiency balances on charged-off accounts. From managing internal legal processes to working with external attorney firms, you’ll ensure cases move swiftly and effectively through the legal pipeline.
In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible not only for litigation oversight but also for driving team performance, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the Consumer Litigation Director in day-to-day department operations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the litigation process for charged-off accounts, including civil lawsuits and referrals to outside counsel
Supervise and support a team of associates, ensuring performance goals are met or exceeded
Train and mentor both entry-level and senior staff within the department
Collaborate closely with the Director of Consumer Litigation on day-to-day departmental operations
Oversee the accurate preparation and filing of legal documents
Generate and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track productivity and financial metrics
Monitor and manage department call flow and ensure proper call distribution
Prepare and submit legal placement files to outside attorneys
Act as a liaison between Westlake and its affiliates, including outside legal vendors
Develop, implement, and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and productivity standards
Assist in motivating staff and improving overall department performance
Influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
Strong leadership and team management experience
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure
Familiarity with state and federal collection laws, including FDCPA
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to create, modify, and run SQL queries (preferred)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (Legal or Business-related field preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal collections or consumer litigation required
Prior leadership or operations management experience is highly desirable
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is a plus
PAY RATE:
We offer a competitive starting base salary of $100,000+ per year,
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable
