The Legal Assistant – Tax, Trusts, and Estates provides comprehensive administrative support to the Tax, Trusts & Estates Practice Group. Primary responsibilities include managing date-driven tasks, scheduling, and editing legal documents. This role is essential for maintaining efficiency within the practice group, ensuring high-quality work, and meeting critical deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and manage calendars for attorneys, including meetings and deadlines.
Edit, proofread, and format estate documents with a high level of accuracy.
Track and manage due dates using specialized software.
Maintain accurate timekeeping records and submit timely reports.
Accept ownership of assigned projects and manage daily and weekly tasks efficiently.
Uphold strict confidentiality while managing sensitive information.
Assist with client correspondence and communication.
Provide additional administrative support as needed to facilitate workflow within the practice group.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in a legal or professional services setting.
Special Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook.
Experience with software programs for tracking due dates is a plus.
Ability to work in-person during standard business hours.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage competing and shifting priorities with efficiency.
Problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Familiarity with legal terminology and estate documentation is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
