Gabroy|Messer, an AV Preeminent Law Firm, practicing in Plaintiff’s civil rights, employment law and personal injury, seeks a reliable, professional, and dedicated law clerk to add to our team. We typically have at least two law clerks. We are planning to hire as soon as we find the right candidate(s). We offer generous bonuses at management discretion. We are a team-oriented, smaller office, and the position has extreme growth potential.
Job Description:
The law clerk will provide legal support to our team, including attorneys and case manager(s), and will conduct legal research. The law clerk will regularly draft correspondence and pleadings such as motions, oppositions, replies, settlement briefs, and complaints. The law clerk will also regularly draft written discovery in both state and federal litigation matters. Other duties include: Preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials including interviewing fact witnesses; Legal research and analysis of a high volume of documents; Independent completion of assignments and case management. The position requires teamwork to assist the firm in achieving overall success.
The position requires legal knowledge/analysis and/or experience. The ideal candidate should have well developed legal research and legal writing skills. Familiarity with civil procedure, state and/or federal law is a plus. This position will require an intelligent, strategically minded, client focused individual who is analytical, innovative, and can execute with a proven reputation for quality performance.
Technical/Functional Qualifications
Pursuing JD degree from accredited law school;
Possessing a JD from an accredited law school; and/or
Experience as an advanced paralegal and/or ability, experience, and knowledge of legal research and legal analysis. Must be able to draft pleadings and have legal analysis capabilities.

CLE/Training Courses and various association memberships are paid at our discretion after probationary period. Working hours are 8am to 5pm but may be longer depending on trial schedule, client commitments, and participation in matters.
