A rapidly expanding global technology company is seeking an experienced commercial technology lawyer to support its regional legal function across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
The company develops next-generation AI infrastructure, cloud technologies and enterprise AI solutions, supporting customers across multiple international markets. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior leadership while advising on strategic commercial, regulatory and technology matters across a fast-growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead legal business partner supporting regional business operations across Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and selected Middle East markets.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements including enterprise customer agreements, technology partnerships, cloud services, software licensing, procurement, vendor and strategic collaboration agreements.
- Advise business stakeholders on legal matters relating to AI technologies, cloud computing, enterprise software, digital platforms, intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity and cross-border regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with commercial, product, engineering, procurement and operations teams to support regional expansion, product launches and strategic business initiatives.
- Provide commercially pragmatic legal advice balancing legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and contribute to the continuous enhancement of legal operations, governance frameworks and compliance programmes.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 7–12 years’ PQE gained from a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Strong commercial legal experience gained within technology, AI, cloud computing, enterprise software, fintech, digital platforms or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial, technology, cloud, SaaS, procurement and strategic partnership agreements.
- Familiarity with cross-border legal and regulatory matters across APAC, with exposure to the Middle East being advantageous.
- Strong business partnering capability with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience supporting rapidly growing international businesses will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts.
