Overview
A leading national business law firm is seeking a talented and motivated associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its Corporate Department in Vancouver. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a mid-level lawyer to develop expertise in private M&A, private equity (PE), and general corporate matters within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on and manage domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including:
Private M&A and dispositions
Private equity and growth equity investments
Joint ventures and strategic alliances
Complex corporate reorganizations
Provide guidance on general corporate law and governance issues across various industries
Collaborate closely with clients and senior counsel in a dynamic legal setting
Contribute to mentorship, professional development, and outstanding client service

Qualifications
Called or eligible to be called to the British Columbia Bar
2-5 years of experience in corporate law, focusing on private M&A, private equity, and related matters
Strong academic background and proven performance in reputable law firms or corporate legal departments
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Team-oriented, proactive, and client-focused approach
