The Opportunity
You will manage a diverse and engaging caseload with a focus on commercial and construction litigation, working alongside experienced practitioners on complex matters from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial and construction litigation files independently
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Provide strategic advice on construction-related disputes, including:
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and support staff to deliver excellent client outcomes
- Stay current with developments in litigation and construction law
Qualifications
- J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited institution
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with exposure to construction law preferred
- Strong advocacy, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven track record of successful client outcomes
Compensation & Benefits
- $140,000 – $160,000 base salary, depending on experience
