Healthcare Insurance Attorney | Phoenix
Phoenix, a leading insurance and financial services group in Israel, is looking for a Healthcare Insurance Attorney to join its legal team in a highly professional and impactful role.
The position serves as a key professional authority in the field of health insurance and involves providing ongoing legal advice, handling complex legal matters, and supporting business units and claims professionals in complex healthcare-related cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing ongoing legal advice on health insurance matters and handling complex legal issues.
- Analyzing and interpreting insurance policies and providing legal guidance to business units.
- Providing professional guidance on complex healthcare cases, including long-term care, critical illness, medications, and personal accident insurance.
- Serving as a professional authority for claims professionals handling health insurance claims and providing guidance on complex cases.
- Leading negotiations with various stakeholders and driving processes toward solutions and agreements.
- Handling regulatory complaints, public inquiries, and appeals, including investigating cases, analyzing legal issues, and preparing responses.
- Working with regulators and addressing regulatory matters related to health insurance.
- Handling cases involving media and communications aspects, including investigating the facts and preparing responses in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Working closely with the department manager and providing professional support and legal advice on complex matters.
Requirements:
- Valid Israeli Bar Association license – mandatory.
- 4–5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Hands-on experience in health insurance and strong familiarity with health insurance policies – mandatory.
- Experience handling complex legal matters.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance policies and prepare legal opinions.
- Experience working with regulators, handling regulatory complaints, or providing legal advice in the healthcare field – a significant advantage.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and process leadership skills.
- Assertiveness, sound judgment, and the ability to serve as a professional authority.
Position Details:
- Full-time position.
- Hybrid work model: 4 days from the office and 1 day from home.
