A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to represent policyholders in first-party insurance cases. This role involves advocating for clients dealing with property insurance disputes, proactively managing cases, and guiding clients through the legal process with empathy and diligence. Duties
Manage a full caseload of property insurance litigation cases.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
Argue hearings and conduct depositions.
Handle all phases of discovery.
Negotiate settlements, both informally and in mediation.
Provide guidance and leadership to paralegals and administrative staff.
Communicate effectively and regularly with clients to provide case updates.
Collaborate with fellow attorneys to develop legal strategies.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
Experience handling property insurance cases (plaintiff or defense side).
Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage cases independently and stay organized.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal research tools such as Westlaw.
Trial experience is a plus but not required.
Driven, competitive, and committed to continuous improvement.
Education
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Florida Bar license in good standing.
Skills
