Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and statutory interpretation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and conducting depositions in court proceedings.
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution by coordinating client communication and case documentation.
- Provide expert counsel in areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, employment law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Assist in court depositions and trial preparation to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Conduct statutory legal research and procedural law analysis to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Support clients through complex negotiations in landlord-tenant disputes, employment matters, or contractual agreements.
- Maintain meticulous case management records using legal case management software while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of multiple legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law, and general litigation.
- Proven experience in legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Strong skills in contract drafting, legal writing, motion preparation, and courtroom advocacy.
- Excellent negotiation abilities coupled with persuasive communication skills for client representation.
- Familiarity with procedural laws relevant to court depositions and trial procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to handle personal injury cases with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Prior experience working within a law office environment with knowledge of legal administrative processes.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues quickly while maintaining clarity in written and oral communication.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as litigation strategies and statutory updates.
