Responsibilities:
Conduct new hire orientations: Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are well-versed in firm procedures and benefits.
Manage day-to-day office operations: Oversee support services such as practice assistants, conference center staff, and office services including mail, document reproduction, and hospitality.
Plan and coordinate regular staff meetings: Organize office events, client development activities, and charitable initiatives to foster team spirit and community engagement.
Oversee facilities and maintenance operations: Serve as the liaison with local property management and internal departments to ensure the office is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
Evaluate staff training needs: Assess and address the training requirements of staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
Ensure office adheres to business continuity protocols: Implement and maintain proper security measures and procedures to guarantee the office can continue operations during disruptions.
Participate in firm-wide administrative operations projects: Engage in initiatives aimed at improving service delivery to both internal and external clients.
Supervise legal assistants and paralegals: Provide guidance and oversight to legal support staff to ensure high-quality performance and compliance with firm standards.
HR Functions: Manage non-attorney staff, including hiring, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing any HR-related issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field:
3+ years of law office management experience preferred: A significant period of practical experience in managing operations within a law office setting is highly valued to ensure familiarity with the specific requirements and challenges of legal environments.
SHRM HR Certification preferred
