Rubio & Associates personal injury law firm a self motivated legal assistant to Paralegal. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of our head attorney and seasoned paralegal.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegal and enhance office effectiveness.
Handle communication with clients, witnesses, and attorneys for scheduling, etc.
Administratively support attorney and paralegal with trial/hearing preparation.
Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
Answer client phone calls.
Maintain attorney contact lists.
Monitor deadlines and juggle attorney calendars.
Draft and prepare discovery, such as depositions by written questions, designation of experts, etc.
Skills
Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
Computer literacy
Proficiency in English and Spanish
Working knowledge of case management software
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Excellent understanding of medical injuries
