Our client is a boutique law firm of 50 professionals specializing in Canadian and U.S. immigration law. Their lawyers are licensed to practice in both countries, and they pride themselves on a collaborative work culture and an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service.
They are currently seeking an experienced Immigration Law Clerk to join their team, with a primary focus on U.S. immigration matters, specifically E-1 and E-2 Visa applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of U.S. immigration law and a minimum of three years of experience handling E-1 and E-2 visa cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lawyers with complex U.S. immigration matters, particularly E-1 and E-2 visa applications
Prepare, review, and process immigration applications with accuracy and attention to detail
Conduct research on relevant immigration processes and requirements
Support case strategy development and contribute to client service initiatives
Draft and compile application materials and supporting documentation
Communicate with relevant government agencies as required
Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, providing updates and responding to inquiries
Manage case files and timelines from initiation to completion, ensuring timely follow-ups
Qualifications & Skills:
Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent certification
Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with E-1 and E-2 visa applications
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
